Justice for Nikki is a grassroots group of activists, transgender community members and parents of trans youth who are assisting the Kuhnhausen family in bringing attention to Nikki’s tragic death. Nikki’s murder has been convicted of second degree murder and malicious harassment, a hate crime.
In 2020 with the support of Rep. Wylie, we passed the ‘Nikki Kuhnhausen Act’ that ensures no one in Washington can use the gay/trans panic defense to excuse violence against transgender and gay individuals. Since then 6 other states have passed similar laws and we are asking that other stats do the same.
